Senior Chemist

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor 

  daily production batches

   of skincare and haircare products, ensuring adherence to approved formulations and SOPs.
• Conduct 

  analytical testing

   for raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products including 

  pH, viscosity

  and

  stability testing

  .
• Prepare, verify, and maintain 

  Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR)

   and 

  Batch Processing Records (BPR)

   as per GMP and BIS standards.
• Ensure strict implementation of 

  quality control and quality assurance

   protocols across production lines.
• Perform 

  root cause analysis

   for any deviation, batch variation, or non-conformance, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with procurement, packaging, and R&D teams to ensure 

  material compatibility and batch scalability

  .
• Maintain documentation for 

  regulatory inspections, stability reports, and internal audits

  .
• Train production and QA staff on SOP adherence, hygiene, and product handling practices.
• Support scale-up of new product formulations from lab trials to commercial production while maintaining consistency and quality standards.

Qualifications and Skills

• M.Sc. / B.Tech / M.Tech / B.Pharm in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in cosmetic or personal-care formulation.
• Strong understanding of emulsion systems, surfactants, preservatives, essential oils, and active ingredients.
• Familiarity with BIS, GMP, and ISO compliance standards.
• Creative problem-solver with a balance of scientific precision and aesthetic sensibility.
