Key responsibilities:

• Perform chemical tests to analyze food and agricultural products for proximate composition, including moisture, ash, fat, protein and crude fiber content.
• Conduct routine nutritional analysis to determine the precise content of macronutrients and assist in nutritional labelling.
• Accurately record all test data, calculations, and observations in laboratory notebooks and the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Prepare and process food samples according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) for various tests. Prepare reagents and standard solutions for testing procedures.
• Follow established protocols and methods (e.g., AOAC, FSSAI) to ensure the accuracy and reliability of results.
• Adhere strictly to laboratory safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Assist in documentation for the ISO 17025 and regulatory audits as directed by team leaders or lab managers.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and assist with report generation for food and agricultural products.
