Records observed or calculated data on appropriate UL forms and prepare data sheets and test reports. Plans test, evaluates test results and reports opinions and interpretations. Provides training and assist others in the laboratory. Reads and understands test standards and testing technology for specific tests. Integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job. Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices. Performs other duties as directed. Decision on hold/ reject product System Management Implementation of companywide activities i.e. Safety, AS-9100, ISO 17025, ISO 45001 & 14001 etc. Supervisors to implement companywide activities e.g. ISO, Safety etc. and regular follow up. - Ensure SOP s are followed at work place. The Global Technical Governance Manager, reporting to the Vice President, Global Operations Manager Governments and Institutions, will be part of the Connectivity Products Global Business Line. Main responsibilities will be: To act as global Technical Manager who will provide technical guidance to the network (Inspection Centers and Certification Centers) in compliance with the accreditation requirements to ISO/IEC 17020, ISO/IEC 17065 standards, SASO SFDA accreditation and other specific accreditations from different National Standards Bodies on the execution of PCA Contracts To provide product technical files to present to Accreditation Body or Standards Body to request or suggest modifications on standards local deviations. To provide product and sectors technical write ups for any Government Agency, as needed To provide the Standardization and Operations team technical advice and guidance on technical issues related to PCA operations. To provide technical elements to appeal Principal s and/or Accreditations Bodies decisions on penalties or potential accreditation withhold / suspension To prepare new Certification Schemes for any potential new business opportunity in industries or sectors that require standardized processes, health, safety and quality, validation. To investigate countries national quality management infrastructure as needed, to elaborate technical proposals on conformity assessment or related services, as response to Tenders or spontaneous proposals submissions To provide technical and policy recommendations on matters to conformity assessment business, e.g. current global trends, new business opportunities, applications platform development, among others. To lead synergy with other SBUs in CP group - To assist in establishing new collaboration activities with other CP groups to grow the business. As part of Business Development, to help identify business opportunities and develop new service offerings for the SBU/TFS related to conformity assessment and/or trade facilitation. Complete understanding and expertise in product certification or conformity assessment process, essential product specifications, and applicable standards as well as customs classification rules. Good understanding of various conformity assessment regimes, e.g. EU Directives, US CPSC, GCC, etc.) Minimum 5 years management/supervisory experience in conformity assessment work. Working experience and knowledge in the ISO 17020, the ISO 17065, ISO 17025 standards. Experience in multicultural/multiracial work environment Above average communication skills Good training skills Experience in regulatory work from Standards Bodies, Ministries o Trade etc

Educational Requirements Diploma or Degree in: Polymer Technology Chemistry Material Science Mechanical Engineering (with exposure to materials testing) Experience Entry-level: Fresh graduates with internships or hands-on lab experience. Preferred: 1-2 years of experience in a quality lab, particularly in a PVC or HDPE pipe manufacturing environment. Exposure to testing and quality control in polymer-based industries. Skills Technical Skills Material Testing and Analysis: Lab Equipment Handling: Standards and Compliance: Awareness of ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001:2015, ISO 17025 for testing labs). Basic knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word) for report preparation. Soft Skills Attention to detail to ensure precise test results. Good organizational skills for managing samples and documentation. Ability to work under pressure and meet testing deadlines. Effective communication to report findings clearly. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Raw Material Testing- Conduct quality tests on PVC resin, stabilizers, fillers, and other additives to ensure compliance with required specifications. Product Quality Assurance- Perform physical and mechanical tests on PVC pipes, such as tensile strength, impact resistance, and elongation testing, to meet industry standards like ASTM or DIN. Dimensional Accuracy Checks- Verify pipe dimensions, including wall thickness, diameter, and ovality, using precision measuring tools like micrometers and Vernier calipers. Hydrostatic Pressure Testing- Test pipe performance under specified pressure levels to assess durability and identify leaks or weaknesses. Heat Reversion and Environmental Testing- Conduct tests to measure heat reversion, UV resistance, and other environmental factors affecting pipe performance. In-Process Quality Monitoring- Collect and test samples during production to ensure consistent quality at various manufacturing stages. Compliance Documentation- Maintain accurate records of all test results and prepare detailed reports for internal and external quality audits. Lab Equipment Calibration and Maintenance- Calibrate testing instruments regularly and ensure their proper functioning to avoid inaccuracies in results. Support for Audits and Certifications- Assist in preparing the lab and documentation for certifications such as ISO 9001:2015, NSF compliance audits. Safety and Lab Maintenance- Ensure safe handling of chemicals and equipment, maintain cleanliness in the lab, and follow safety protocols at all times.
