Senior Business Analyst AI (Sales & Recruitment)

About the role
Mcinley is building an AIdriven product in the sales and recruitment domain. Were hiring a Senior Business Analyst to serve as the daytoday interface between the CEO and the engineering teamturning vision into clear, implementable work. You’ll own requirements, structure the roadmap, and keep the backlog and Jira boards crisp so the team ships the right things, fast.
What you’ll do
Translate vision to execution: Break down highlevel product goals from the CEO into epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery plans the engineering team can execute. Backlog & Jira ownership: Create and manage Jira boards, groom and prioritize the backlog, maintain sprint scopes, and ensure stories are consistently ready (“definition of ready”) and done (“definition of done”). Requirements & prioritization: Run discovery, write PRDs, user flows, and business rules; use frameworks like RICE/MoSCoW to prioritize. Sprint operations: Facilitate refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retros in partnership with the engineering lead/PM. Stakeholder alignment: Maintain a tight feedback loop with the CEO and crossfunctional partners; clearly communicate tradeoffs, timelines, and risks. Quality & acceptance: Define test scenarios, support UAT, and sign off on releases against acceptance criteria; capture learnings for continuous improvement. Datainformed decisions: Partner with engineering/analytics to define success metrics, instrumentation, and basic dashboards; use insights to refine the roadmap. AI product specifics: Work with engineers to map LLM/RAG use cases to business outcomes, define guardrails and evaluation criteria (quality, latency, cost, safety), and ensure data/knowledge sources are modeled for effective retrieval.
Musthave qualifications
5+ years experience as a Business Analyst (or similar product/BA role) in a software product environment. Excellent communication (concise writing, structured thinking, strong stakeholder management). Handson experience managing Jira boards/backlogs and writing clear user stories with acceptance criteria. Proven ability to decompose complex goals into implementable steps and sequence work for iterative delivery. Comfort with Agile/Scrum, creating PRDs, process maps, and light wireframes (e.g., Miro/Figma/Balsamiq). Familiarity with APIs/JSON and collaborating closely with engineering on technical constraints and dependencies. Domain & AI “pluses”
Prior exposure to sales prospecting (CRM, lead scoring, sequencing, pipeline metrics) or recruitment (ATS, jobtocandidate matching, sourcing) is a strong plus. Understanding of Generative AI concepts (e.g., LLMs, RAG, embeddings, prompt design, evaluation/guardrails) and how to convert them into requirements and acceptance tests. Experience with basic SQL/analytics and tools like Amplitude/Mixpanel/Power BI/Tableau is a plus. How you’ll be measured

clearer specs. Delivery cadence: Predictable sprints and ontime releases tied to agreed outcomes. Quality: Features meeting acceptance criteria with fewer postrelease issues.
Stakeholder alignment: High satisfaction from CEO/engineering on communication,
prioritization, and decision quality. AI feature impact: Measurable improvements on target metrics (e.g., match quality, lead conversion, timetohire) for AIpowered capabilities. Working model Hybrid role based in Pune or Noida; regular inoffice collaboration with the CEO and engineering team. Tools you’ll likely use Jira, Confluence, Miro, Figma/Balsamiq, Google Workspace, basic SQL/Sheets; familiarity with experimentation/evaluation tools for AI is a plus.
