Senior AWS DevOps Engineer and Architect

Role & responsibilities

• Design & Architecture

  : Architect scalable, cost-effective, and secure AWS-based solutions for banking workloads.

• Cloud Infrastructure Management

  : Deploy, configure, and manage AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, CloudFront, Elastic Load Balancer (ELB), Auto Scaling Groups, EKS (Kubernetes), ECS (Fargate), API Gateway, Route 53, Elasticache, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and WAF/Shield at scale.

• DevOps Frameworks

  : Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, Git, and other automation tools.

• Automation & IaC

  : Develop infrastructure-as-code using AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible; automate deployment and provisioning tasks using scripting (Python, Bash).

• Monitoring & Optimization

  : Ensure optimal performance and uptime through proactive monitoring (CloudWatch, CloudTrail) and resource optimization strategies.

• Security & Compliance

  : Implement AWS security best practices, governance policies, IAM role management, encryption, and ensure regulatory compliance for the banking sector. Oversee OS patching cycles across cloud workloads, ensuring timely updates and zero critical vulnerabilities. Coordinate and drive VAPT remediation and closure by implementing required fixes and validating with security teams.Implement and manage AWS KMS for encryption at rest and in transit, including key rotation and lifecycle management.Leverage AWS Secrets Manager to securely store, rotate, and manage sensitive credentials and API keys.

• Collaboration & Support

  : Work closely with developers, IT, and security to streamline deployments and troubleshoot issues.

• Documentation & Training

  : Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and provide AWS/DevOps training to internal teams.

• Disaster Recovery

  : Develop, test, and manage disaster recovery and backup strategies on AWS platforms.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related.
  
• 3+ years’ experience in AWS cloud management and enterprise DevOps roles, preferably for financial institutions.
  
• AWS certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect preferred.
  
• Deep expertise in security, compliance, and governance for regulated industries.
  
• Advanced scripting, automation, and Infrastructure-as-Code skills.
  
• Strong experience with CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and Git workflows
  
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
