Senior Associate Project Management

As the Project Manager (PM), Scientific Communications at Amgen, your role involves planning and driving the execution of cross-functional projects within the Scientific Communications portfolio. This includes publications, medical content, and congress deliverables, ensuring alignment with business priorities, quality standards, and compliance requirements. You will play a key role in building visibility through key performance indicators and dashboards while continuously improving the Scientific Communications processes and systems. Your responsibilities include: - Planning and managing end-to-end project schedules, scope, dependencies, and deliverables for publications, medical content, and congress activities - Facilitating team meetings, capturing decisions and action items, and ensuring timely follow-through - Designing and building dashboards and routine reports to monitor data quality, assess impact, and communicate KPIs and compliance measures - Coordinating congress planning and execution support in alignment with established processes - Supporting publications operations in partnership with US-based publication planners and subject matter experts - Providing support and training for India-based Scientific Communications stakeholders across various applications - Driving continuous improvement by identifying process inefficiencies, automating where possible, and contributing to user acceptance testing and training for new tools adoption - Ensuring adherence to Amgen Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality standards, and regulatory requirements Qualifications required for this role: - Master's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience in medical communications or the Pharma Industry - OR Bachelor's degree & 2 years of directly related industry experience - OR Associate's degree & 4 years of directly related industry experience Preferred qualifications include: - Professional project management certification (e.g., PMP, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2) and/or agile delivery experience - 4+ years of project management experience leading cross-functional initiatives in a regulated, compliance-driven environment - Working knowledge of common biotech platforms such as Salesforce and Veeva Vault - Strong communication skills and proficiency in productivity and collaboration tools - Hands-on experience with operational metrics, dashboards, and visualizations - Exposure to automation and AI-assisted workflows for process improvement Your competencies will include: - Project Planning & Execution - Stakeholder Management - Communication - Continuous Improvement - Reporting - Systems Orientation - Compliance Mindset - Adaptability Amgen strives to provide reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities during the job application process, interviews, essential job functions, and other employment benefits.
