Senior Associate - Personal Independence

Role Overview: As a Senior Associate in the Independence - Risk Management Services team at EY, you will play a crucial role in executing globally defined processes to safeguard EY as an Independent auditor. Your responsibilities will include monitoring professionals" financial relationships, identifying and reporting potential conflicts of interest with audit clients, interpreting GDS policies, performing compliance checks and audits, and providing recommendations based on firm guidance. You will be a part of the RMS team responsible for protecting the organization from risks related to professional practice. Key Responsibilities: - Develop a strong working knowledge of Personal Independence concepts, including financial interests, family relations, and business relationships - Perform procedures as per EYG Independence policies, conduct research, and make updates to various EY tools and databases to help identify independence-related risks - Deliver comprehensive testing support to regions and carry out global Independence compliance processes in alignment with EY Global policies & local regional requirements - Communicate with EY professionals and senior team members to resolve queries, gather information, and become a subject matter expert in Independence processes - Possess a solid understanding of financial products, such as equities, structured products, and mutual funds, while executing work requests and projects from initiation to completion Qualifications Required: - Masters/post-graduate degree (preferably in Finance) from a reputed institute - 3 - 7 years of experience in research and analysis in a professional services firm - Exposure to handling client interactions would be preferred - Well-developed analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills in English - Basic understanding of financial products like equities, mutual funds, pension plans, insurance policies, etc. Additional Company Details: EY Global Delivery Services (GDS) is a dynamic and truly global delivery network that offers fulfilling career opportunities across various business disciplines.
