Senior Associate - PE

Role & responsibilities

• New Product Manufacturing Integration

  :
• Identify manufacturing requirements for new products during the development phase.
• Collaborate with design teams to ensure seamless integration of new products into manufacturing operations.

• System & Process Design

  :
• Design, optimize, and implement manufacturing systems and processes that ensure cost-effective production of both new and existing products.
• Ensure all product and system specifications are met throughout the entire product lifecycle, from conception to finished goods.

• Facility & Shop Floor Layout

  :
• Assist in designing shop floor layouts and production cells for efficient workflow and improved space utilization.

• Fixtures, Tooling, and Assembly

  :
• Design and develop fixtures, jigs, and tooling required for assembly operations, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.

• Production Documentation

  :
• Create detailed production documentation, including assembly instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Quality Control & Standardization

  :
• Develop standard work methods and work instructions to reduce variability in manufacturing and enhance product quality.
• Ensure products meet quality specifications and industry standards.

• Process Improvement & Waste Reduction

  :
• Identify areas of waste in production processes and work on strategies to minimize or eliminate them.
• Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in manufacturing processes, equipment, and product quality.

• Technical Expertise in Welding & Automation

  :
• Provide expertise in MIG welding and spot welding processes.
• Assist with the integration and troubleshooting of basic PLC and robotic systems to optimize production.

• FMEA (Failure Mode Effects Analysis)

  :
• Conduct FMEA on existing and new manufacturing processes to identify potential risks and areas for improvement.
• Implement corrective actions based on FMEA findings to improve product quality and reduce downtime.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education

  :
• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience

  :
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, ideally in automotive, consumer goods, or industrial products.
• Proven experience in designing manufacturing systems, process improvements, and new product integration.
• Hands-on experience in welding (MIG, Spot Welding) and basic knowledge of PLC & Robotics is essential.

• Skills & Competencies

  :
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, process optimization, and Lean principles.
• Proficiency in designing fixtures, tooling, and assembly systems to improve efficiency and product quality.
• Experience in using FMEA to identify process inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
• Knowledge of automation, PLC programming, and robotic systems will be an advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex production challenges and implement effective solutions.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
