Job Description

As a Product Operations Specialist at American Express, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Product Development team. Product Operations is a key discipline aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of product teams by establishing a foundation of excellence through process improvements, best practices dissemination, and reporting. Your efforts in this role will contribute to the scalability and efficiency of the entire product team, fostering better communication and streamlined processes for optimal outcomes. **Responsibilities:** - Streamline core foundational processes such as Product Design & Development, E2E Testing, logging, and Release Management practices - Identify breakdowns and optimize business/operational processes to enhance product development, including PI Planning and Continuous Delivery - Track and enhance Product Health across various functional areas within the Risk Product Development team - Drive focus and prioritization of non-functional backlog by collaborating with Journey and platform product teams - Coordinate prioritization and communication with Band 40+ product leaders across RPDS Product Development teams - Ensure timely execution of releases via release managers in the US and India, providing leadership to enhance release processes and work-life balance - Enhance productivity in Product Management by tracking efficiency metrics and identifying improvement opportunities - Support optimal work-life balance across a global team - Design relevant trainings and gather feedback to optimize Colleague Experience - Engage in strategic planning and communication, including capacity planning, location strategy, and developing trackers/dashboards for Product Development **Qualifications:** - 1-3 years of experience in operations areas, product management, or project/program management, with a focus on process excellence - Strong understanding of the needs of product management and a process-oriented mindset - Balanced technical knowledge and business acumen with a history of driving innovation and business metrics - Comfort with fast-paced environments, changing needs, and limited resources - Ability to set high standards for the team and empower them to achieve exceptional results - Enthusiasm for platforms, products, and services, with a user-centric approach - Excellent communication skills to drive collaboration and alignment - High degree of organization, individual initiative, and personal accountability - Problem-solving skills and an analytical approach - Engineering degree and/or MBA or related technical discipline required Please note that the offer of employment with American Express is subject to the successful completion of a background verification check, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.,
