Job Description

As an IT Audit Associate / Senior Associate, you will play a vital role in assisting the client in ensuring the integrity, security, and efficiency of the information technology systems. Your main responsibility will be to assess and test various IT controls to help the organization manage risks and comply with relevant regulations.

 

Work you'll do

As an Analyst / Sr. Analyst in our Audit Assurance ITDA CEC team, you'll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations.
you'll:

  • Test IT General Controls (ITGC):

    Evaluate the basic IT controls that support the overall IT environment, such as user access management, change management, and system operations, to ensure they function effectively.

  • Test IT Application Controls (ITAC):

    Review and assess controls within specific software applications to confirm that transactions are processed accurately and securely.

  • Third Party Assurance (TPA):

    Participate in assessing the controls and risks associated with third-party service providers to ensure they meet required standards and do not introduce vulnerabilities.

  • Review Audit Trails:

    Analyze records of system activity to track changes, detect unauthorized actions, and support accountability.

  • Backup Management:

    Examine procedures for data backup and recovery to ensure business continuity in case of system failures or data loss.

  • Client Interaction:

    Collaborate with internal teams and clients to gather information, explain audit findings, and support the implementation of recommendations.

Skills Required

  • Ability to understand and analyze a client s business environment and its associated IT risks.
  • Proficiency in using technology-based tools to support audit testing and data analysis.
  • Capability to identify and evaluate IT General Controls and Application Controls within complex systems.
  • Skill in assessing the reliability and accuracy of data produced and used by IT systems during audits.
  • Experience in reviewing audit trails to detect irregularities and support accountability.
  • Knowledge of backup management processes to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and internal teams throughout the audit process.
  • Attention to detail in documenting audit findings and preparing clear, organized workpapers.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools.
  • Self- motivated, curious, knowledgeable pertaining to news and current events.
  • Ability to access and evaluate situations effectively.
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately.

Qualification

  • BCA
  • B.Sc (Computer Science, IT)
