Job Description

As a Senior Analyst in the Global Procurement team at Bain & Company, you will play a crucial role in supporting the category management function, primarily focusing on Professional Services and IT categories. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with business stakeholders to shape supplier strategy, provide project and supplier negotiation support, negotiate contracts with suppliers, and manage sourcing activities like RFIs and RFPs. You will be working closely with local and global team members and stakeholders to ensure operational support for sourcing events, supplier onboarding, and data reporting, ultimately driving value and savings for the firm. **Key Responsibilities:** - Supporting and executing procurement projects across Professional Services and IT categories - Running sourcing events (RFIs, RFPs, competitive bids) as needed - Managing and negotiating IT contract renewals, including coordinating with Legal and stakeholders - Conducting supplier research and spend analysis to support category strategy - Managing stakeholder communication and expectations in a fast-moving, high-volume environment - Coordinating supplier onboarding and resolving operational procurement queries - Preparing reports, analyses, and recommendations to support category managers - Ensuring strong documentation and adherence to Bain procurement processes **Qualifications & Experience:** **Essential:** - 4+ years of relevant Procurement or Sourcing operations experience, ideally supporting global organizations - Demonstrated ability to run procurement projects independently with minimal oversight - Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail - Advanced analytical skills, a structured problem-solving approach, and comfort with ambiguity - Experience working with global stakeholders and managing multiple competing priorities - Strong communication skills and ability to influence without authority - Experience running RFPs with strong results - Proficiency in Excel and MS Office - Ability to quickly learn internal tools and operate effectively in a temporary, fast-ramp environment - Self-starter attitude with the ability to manage deadlines across multiple workstreams - Bachelor's degree with strong academic performance **Preferred:** - Prior experience supporting IT procurement, particularly software or SaaS renewals - Comfort working in distributed global teams and across time zones - Familiarity with SAP Ariba, Coupa Sourcing, Jaggaer, or other sourcing tools **Additional Expectations for a Temporary Role:** - Ability to quickly onboard, understand category context, and begin delivering value within a short timeframe - High degree of flexibility and willingness to take on varied project types, from quick-turn negotiations to deeper category analysis - Proven success managing stakeholder expectations and maintaining strong communication in a hybrid environment As a Senior Analyst in the Global Procurement team at Bain & Company, you will play a crucial role in supporting the category management function, primarily focusing on Professional Services and IT categories.
