About the Team:

The Operational Risk Management (ORM), Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) team of Risk Professionals who promote risk management excellence by fostering a culture that is proactive, transparent and accountable, ensuring that risk is managed effectively in alignment with FCB s risk appetite and strategic objectives. This is a second line of defense team acting as trusted advisors to the business in managing Operational Risk across multiple Risk Categories (e.g. Technology, Cybersecurity, Enterprise Operations, etc.).

Impact

This role will require broad knowledge of consumer and commercial banking products and services, as well as applicable laws and regulations. This role is tasked with providing independent oversight of risks associated with the banks business processes, personnel, systems, and external events. The ORM team specifically focuses on enhancing the control environment to ensure effective remediation of operational risk exposures. The person in this role may also review and challenge the RCSAs that have been implemented, offering feedback to risk and control owners regarding risk and control identification, documentation, and completeness.

Key Deliverables

• Work with the banks RCSA program lead in US and facilitate deployment of RCSA program for the bank.

• Facilitate the development of RCSA schedule for FCB, manage any updates to it and report on its progress.

• Drive the use of analytics in support of the RCSA lifecycle: control identification, risk rating, control effectiveness evaluation, and remediation tracking.

• Escalate any concerns or delays in RCSA program implementation and deviations from planned schedule to relevant stakeholders.

• Develop a good understanding of the RCSA structural elements supporting the program such as BU Hierarchies, Process and Risk taxonomies, legal entity overlay, etc., and facilitate any updates and changes needed.

• Train BU process owners on RCSA execution facilitating the deployment of RCSAs for their functional areas.

• Ensure work is produced and documented with quality and content and in alignment with the requirements laid down in the standard.

• Promote positive client relations with business line colleagues and management.

• Maintain knowledge of laws, regulations, and policies for operational functions covered.

• Work on the oversight of the risks, control environment of the Business Units

Skills and Qualification

Functional Skills:

• Bachelor s degree with preference of accounting, finance, risk operations related disciplines.

• Overall, 5 to 7 years of experience in the financial services industry, with at least five years in an operational risk management, internal audit, or compliance role and preferably large financial institution.

• Strong exposure to and knowledge of RCSA programs in a financial industry preferably a large financial institution (LFI).

• Strong communication skills both written and oral.

• Problem Solving - Apply Analytical and logical thinking to identify and manage the deliverables, resolve problems.

• Attention to Detail - Ensure accuracy & thoroughness in all tasks.

• Partner with peers and mentor junior team members.

Technical Skills:

• Strong exposure to and knowledge of RCSA programs in a financial industry preferably a large financial institution (LFI).

• Develop compelling data stories that highlight risk exposure, emerging threats, and control weaknesses using clear, structured narratives.

• Create high-impact data visualizations that make operational risk metrics intuitive and decision-ready.

• Strong business knowledge of financial services industry and awareness of the regulatory landscape the bank operates in.

• Working knowledge of MS tools such as word, Excel and PPT.

• Support the production of high-quality RCSA deliverables, through effective implementation of RCSA life cycle i.e. Terms of Reference issuance, fieldwork completion and reporting.
