Senior Accounts Payable Associate

About the Role

We are looking for a Associate Accounts Payable to be a part of the Finance vertical. You are a beginner well versed with accounting principles and has a desire to learn and hustle, you'll be working alongside the Finance Manager and the Revenue Recognition Expert. As a top performer you should be driven, self-motivated and highly passionate about working in the Ed-tech space. You'll work closely with a diverse group of people coming from both leading MNCs such as McKinsey, BCG, KPMG, Deloitte, EY, and startups such as Byju's, Paytm etc. to establish, nurture, and grow business across categories & territories. What will you do:

• Payment processing all vendor invoices in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers / workstreams by analyzing invoice/expense reports, nature, recording entries.
• Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
• Having clear concept of accounting & able to pass Journal Entries.
• Should have analytical and reconciliation skills of Bank, Credit Cards.
• Assist in providing relevant documentations for financial statements audit /review from time to time.
• Handle other Accounts payable related task (reconciliations, invoice audit, payments, Month end Activities etc)
• Create and present MIS on the following frequencies daily, weekly and monthly.
• Coordinate with suppliers / customers for key deliverables
• Work alongside the Senior Accountant for the monthly filing GST, TDS, MIS etc. and other required deliverables
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Coordinate with the Banks for undertaking the necessary compliance work
• Process Reimbursements and ensure the validation of incentives
• Assist in the daily operations of the accounting department

What will you need:

• Graduate with a minimum experience of two years with Accounts payable.
• Knowledge of Accounting standards and principles
• Should have hands on experience on the financial reports and take required action as a part of rectification entries, cost reclass etc
• Should be well versed with MS Excel.
• Good analytical, communication, automation/process mindset, with prior experience in handling 3X+ growth in a year
• Prior experience in accounting/finance roles in startups is a plus.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Aggressive and interested to work in stealth mode ed-tech start-up where learning is immense
• Vision to plan and work on critical deadlines
• Good systematic approach and analytical thinking mindset; proactive problem solver
• Strong work ethic and ownership mindset
• Demonstrate business acumen, with strong organization skills and strategic orientation
