Senior Accountant

As a part of a growing accounting and financial services firm based in Ahmedabad with operations extending globally, including the U.S., your role will involve the following key responsibilities: - Prepare and review financial statements and reports following US GAAP standards. - Maintain accurate ledgers, conduct reconciliations, and oversee the month-end close process. - Collaborate with clients and internal teams to address accounting issues and queries. - Assist in enhancing processes and implementing best practices. - Process invoices, journal entries, and expense reports efficiently. - Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and financial reporting. - Generate financial documents for internal and external stakeholders. - Ensure accuracy and compliance of financial transactions with company policies and US GAAP. - Provide assistance during internal and external audits by ensuring proper documentation. - Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve discrepancies and enhance financial processes. - Aid in developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures. Qualifications required for this role are: - Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification. - Comprehensive knowledge of core accounting principles and practices. - Exposure to US accounting standards or experience in working with international clients is advantageous. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting tools like QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, and Sage. - Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. - Effective communication skills both in written and verbal forms. - Self-motivated with the ability to excel in independent as well as team-oriented environments. - Eagerness to learn and grow professionally in the accounting field.
