Senior Accountant

As a Senior Accountant at this company, you will be part of the Customer Accounting team responsible for investor, fund, and account level financial reporting. Your role will involve managing the fund treasury process, coordinating annual audits, and reviewing investor and fund level tax filing requirements for real estate, debt, and private equity funds. Additionally, you will be involved in acquisitions, dispositions, and joint venture partnerships. **Key Responsibilities:** - Assisting and/or preparing financial statements, client reporting information, net asset value statements, capital call and distribution notices, consultant reports, and other financial reports on a monthly and quarterly basis. - Serving as the main point of contact for third-party property management accounting providers or third-party administrators. - Coordinating and running the general accounting function to ensure accuracy and maintenance of ledger accounts and financial statements. - Drafting initial audit reports, providing or coordinating delivery of audit support to auditors, and working with Assistant Controller and Controller to finalize audit reports. - Reviewing tax returns prepared by tax advisors and coordinating with the internal tax team on tax guidance. - Owning the maintenance of client bank accounts, including setup/closure, cash projections, and compliance. - Maintaining a working relationship with portfolio managers, product management, and compliance as part of the portfolio team. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting. - CPA license is preferred but not required. - Four or more years of related work experience in accounting. - Public Accounting background is sought for this position. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office. - Experience with Allvue software is a plus. - Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with various internal and external contacts. - Self-motivated, organized, and flexible. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
