Senior Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, maintaining compliance with Indian accounting standards, and supporting strategic business decisions. This role requires strong analytical abilities, a deep understanding of finance processes, and the capacity to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities : Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Indian GAAP / Ind AS.
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet schedules.

Compliance & Audit

• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax Act, and other statutory requirements.
• Support statutory, internal, and tax audits; coordinate with auditors and ensure accurate documentation.
• Assist in filing returns and resolving tax-related issues.

Financial Analysis

• Monitor budgets vs. actuals and provide variance analysis.
• Assist in cost optimization initiatives and provide business insights.
• Support management with financial forecasts and reports.

Process Improvement

• Evaluate existing accounting processes and recommend automation or efficiency improvements.
• Implement strong internal controls and ensure adherence across finance operations.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with cross-functional teams such as Operations, HR, and Procurement.
• Liaise with external consultants, auditors, and financial institutions as required.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• CA / CMA (preferred) or MBA Finance.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Ind AS, GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle, Zoho Books).
