Job Title: Accountant Zoho Books Specialist (High-Volume B2C)

Key Responsibilities

1. Core Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Maintain day-to-day accounting in

  Zoho Books

  with zero errors.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, provisions, write-offs, credit notes.
  
• Maintain ledgers, schedules, and ageing reports across customers and vendors.
  
• Manage multi-branch or multi-cost-center accounting if applicable.
  

2. High-Volume B2C Transaction Handling

• Process and reconcile thousands of daily transactions from app/website bookings.
  
• Manage clearing accounts for expected vs. actual payment gateway settlements.
  
• Identify mismatches, short settlements, bank fees, reversals, chargebacks.
  
• Coordinate with payment gateway support teams to resolve discrepancies.
  

3. Reconciliation Expertise

• Daily reconciliation of

  payment gateways, wallets, UPI, credit cards, bank statements

  .
• Reconcile GST liability, TDS entries, vendor ledgers, customer advances, refunds.
  
• Maintain 100% clarity on transaction lifecycle: billed paid settled booked.
  

4. Billing, Invoicing & Collections Support

• Generate invoices, receipts, credit notes; ensure correct tax mapping.
  
• Support B2B invoicing cycles, ageing follow-up, and revenue recognition.
  

5. Statutory Compliance

• Prepare and file

  GST, CGST, IGST

  , GSTR-1, GSTR-3B accurately and on time.
• Manage

  TDS

  entries, 26AS matching, and payment deadlines.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation for statutory and internal audits.
  

6. Controls & Process Improvements

• Build and maintain SOPs for transaction accounting and reconciliations.
  
• Suggest automation opportunities inside Zoho Books (workflows, custom fields).
  
• Strengthen internal controls around revenue, refunds, discounts, and settlements.
  

Required Skills & Competencies

• Expert-level proficiency in Zoho Books

  (mandatory).
• Strong understanding of

  payment gateways

  , settlement cycles, and clearing accounts.
• Comfort with large data sets, Excel/Sheets (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, filters).
  
• Solid knowledge of Indian accounting standards, direct/indirect taxes.
  
• High accuracy, attention to detail, and disciplined documentation habits.
  
• Ability to work under pressure with tight monthly closure timelines.
  
• Problem-solver with a structured approach to mismatches and reconciliation gaps.
  

Experience & Qualification

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance.
  
• 6-10years of experience, including

  mandatory experience in Zoho Books

  .
• Prior experience in

  B2C, app-based, or payment-heavy businesses

  preferred.
• Exposure to subscription billing, ride-hailing, e-commerce, mobility, fintech, or logistics is a plus.
