Senior Accountant (Calicut)

BrainLoop & Vidyakendra is seeking a skilled and dedicated Senior Accountant to join our team. This role involves managing day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and contributing to financial planning and analysis for the organization. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, well-versed in accounting principles, and capable of working independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain all accounting records, including general ledger, accounts payable, and receivable.
• Prepare and review financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Reconcile bank statements and perform regular audits to ensure accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
• Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to management.
• Process payroll and manage employee expense reports.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation for audits.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance accounting accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of [5 years] of experience in an accounting role; experience in the education sector is a plus.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho, Tally, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with financial reporting and regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance in India.
