Senior Accountant - Bookkeeping

Responsibilities Maintaining records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensure legal requirements compliance. Handle Client Escalations and Queries Client Onboarding and Books Cleanup Develop a system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; defining bookkeeping policies and procedures. Maintaining subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions. Balancing subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries. Maintaining the general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries. Balancing the general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries. Prepare financial reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising account information and trends. Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements; filing reports and advising management on needed actions. Skills And Requirements Associate's degree in accounting or business administration. Excellent knowledge of general accounting principles and US laws and compliance. Knowledge of bookkeeping software. 3-5 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably within a business-services environment. Attention to detail and accuracy of work. Experience with accounting software such as Quickbooks, Zoho Books etc. Able to prepare, review and understand a financial statement.
