Senior Account Manager

As a Senior Accountant at our engineering company, your role will be crucial in managing day-to-day accounting functions and supporting financial reporting. Your strong background in accounting principles, project-based costing, and financial analysis will ensure accurate and timely financial records in compliance with statutory and company requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements following applicable accounting standards. - Reconcile accounts, including bank, vendor, and intercompany balances. - Track project revenues, costs, and profitability, collaborating with project managers for revenue recognition and expense allocation. - Monitor project budgets, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions. - Maintain job costing records, support billing, invoicing, and milestone tracking. Compliance & Audit: - Ensure compliance with tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements (GST, TDS, income tax, etc.). - Coordinate with external auditors for internal and statutory audits, preparing necessary schedules and documentation. - Uphold internal controls and contribute to periodic reviews. Cash Flow & Treasury Management: - Assist in forecasting and working capital management. ERP & Process Improvement: - Utilize ERP systems for accounting and project tracking (SAP, Tally, Oracle, etc.). - Enhance financial processes, automation, and reporting efficiencies. Qualifications: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce. - CA Inter / CMA Inter / CPA or equivalent certification preferred (full CA is a plus). - Minimum 5-8 years of accounting experience, preferably in an engineering, construction, or project-driven organization. - Proficiency in accounting standards, taxation, and compliance. - Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting software and Excel-based reporting tools.
