Academic Counselor – Job Description

Job Role:
Guide students in selecting suitable courses, assist with admissions, and provide ongoing support to ensure academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Counsel students and parents about courses, career paths, and academic options.
• Make outbound calls to inquiries and convert them into admissions.
• Understand student requirements and recommend the right program.
• Conduct counseling sessions via phone, video call, or in person.
• Follow up with leads regularly to ensure admissions closure.
• Maintain updated records of inquiries, leads, and enrollments.
• Coordinate with the admissions team for documentation and enrollment processes.
• Provide post-admission support and help students with academic-related queries.
• Meet weekly/monthly admission targets.

Skills Required:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong counseling and convincing ability.
• Good understanding of educational programs and career options.
• Ability to handle students of different age groups.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office, CRM tools).
• Patience, empathy, and problem-solving skills.

Educational Qualification:

• Any graduate

Experience:

• 1–3 years

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
