Senior ABAP Developer

Position Overview:

6-8 years

Key Responsibilities:

ABAP Development: Design, develop, test, and deploy custom ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms. 

OData Services: Develop, Maintain and Troubleshoot OData services for building UI-5 applications. 

Performance Tuning: Optimize the performance of ABAP code and OData services to ensure efficient and reliable operations. 

Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to OData services, AMDP/CDS and ABAP programs, identifying root-cause and perform bugfixes.  

Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for all developed solutions, including technical designs, specifications, test cases, and user guides. 

Collaboration: Work closely with functional consultants, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. 

Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest SAP technologies and best practices and apply this knowledge to improve existing processes and solutions. 

Required Skills:

ABAP Programming: Proficient in ABAP programming with a minimum of 6-8 years of hands-on experience. 

OData Services: Strong expertise in developing and managing OData services within SAP environments. 

SAP Modules: Familiarity with various SAP modules (e.g. FI & SD) and their integration points. 

AMDP/CDS: In-depth understanding of HANA DB, as well as ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP) and Core Data Services (CDS). 

Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. 

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
