Job Description: As a Senior ABAP Developer at WAGO, you will be a key member of our development team, leveraging your extensive experience in ABAP programming and in-depth knowledge of the SAP ecosystem. Your primary responsibilities will include developing custom ABAP solutions, enhancing existing functionality, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions efficiently. Your expertise will play a crucial role in the success of SAP-based projects at WAGO. You will be tasked with designing, developing, and maintaining custom ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, and forms for SAP ECC/S/4HANA systems. Additionally, you will create and manage interfaces between SAP systems and external systems using technologies such as BAPI, IDOC, and Web Services. Identifying and optimizing inefficient ABAP code to improve system performance, as well as conducting performance tuning and troubleshooting, will be essential parts of your role. Collaboration will be a key aspect of your work, as you will closely work with functional consultants, business analysts, and end-users to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Mentoring junior developers, providing technical expertise, and ensuring adherence to best practices will also be part of your responsibilities. You will perform unit testing, integration testing, and debugging of ABAP programs to ensure high-quality, error-free applications, in addition to documenting design specifications and technical designs in accordance with company standards. Your strong problem-solving and analytical skills, excellent communication and collaboration abilities, and attention to detail will be critical in delivering high-quality solutions.
