Job Summary

The Security Master, Pricing & Benchmark Operations team supports Investment Operations by ensuring accurate creation of financial instruments, timely pricing, and maintenance of benchmarks to enable Portfolio Managers to manage portfolios efficiently.

The role involves daily processing of security setup, pricing validation, benchmark maintenance, client support, and continuous improvement initiatives across APAC and EMEA regions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Pricing Operations

• Update, validate, and publish prices for listed and OTC securities
  
• Ensure accurate Mark-to-Market valuation for NAV calculation and reporting
  
• Apply pricing policies and strategies consistently
  
• Resolve pricing discrepancies within SLA timelines
  

2. Security Master / Asset Creation

• Create and maintain financial instruments, funds, and mandates in accounting systems
  
• Manage security lifecycle events and static data changes
  
• Ensure data completeness, accuracy, and consistency across platforms
  

3. Benchmark Operations

• Create and maintain benchmarks and indices for funds and mandates
  
• Process benchmark changes and ensure correct system linkage
  
• Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders for benchmark updates
  

4. Controls, Reporting & Risk

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly controls and reconciliations
  
• Identify operational risks and implement preventive controls
  
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures
  

5. Client & Stakeholder Management

• Provide timely and professional responses to internal and external clients
  
• Liaise with data vendors and global teams to resolve issues
  
• Adhere to agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  

6. Process Improvement & Projects

• Participate in transition, automation, and data quality initiatives
  
• Identify opportunities for process enhancements and operational excellence
  
• Support ad-hoc projects and new business initiatives
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

Functional Knowledge

• Capital Markets fundamentals
  
• Security pricing and valuation concepts
  
• Security Master / Asset Setup operations
  
• Understanding of Equities, Bonds, and Unit Trusts
  

Technical Skills

• Experience with investment accounting or pricing systems
  
• Ability to retrieve and validate data from market data vendors
  
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
