Role Overview: As an Architect at Jacobs, you will play a key role in reinventing tomorrow by solving critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, and cutting-edge manufacturing. Your impact will be significant as you demonstrate core competencies in architectural designs, master planning, and space planning. You will be responsible for working on schematic/statutory/working drawings in both 2D and 3D, as well as preparing item descriptions and specifications for architectural BOQ items for tenders. Your knowledge of statutory regulations, LEED/IGBC certifications, and sustainability-related design concepts will be essential in transforming abstract ideas into realities. Key Responsibilities: - Mentor, train, and encourage resources within the discipline to achieve project objectives - Represent Jacobs in client-facing and critical meetings to provide solutions that meet project objectives - Review and validate inputs given to other disciplines to minimize internal rework - Conduct independent design reviews, technical audits, and participate in external audits - Monitor and review the performance of discipline team members, providing constructive feedback for continuous improvement - Ensure compliance with Jacobs' processes and procedures and adherence to SOPs - Drive knowledge sharing, lessons learned, and technical knowledge database creation and maintenance - Develop facade & fenestration, interiors, sanitation, and plumbing conceptualizations to detailed engineering - Techno-commercial evaluation of various options and recommending final options for projects - Planning and guiding a team of Revit modelers in developing BIM models meeting LOD 100 to 350 requirements - Preparation of cost estimates for the architectural part of projects - Coordinate with various stakeholders for effective engineering management - Ensure architectural engineering execution within budget, on time, and meeting quality standards - Provide management information for the architectural engineering part of projects Qualifications Required: - Positive attitude, excellent customer communication skills, and the ability to act on your initiative with a commitment to customer service - Detailed knowledge of standards, codes, and procedures, with the ability to transmit them to others - Deep understanding of architectural design, architectural governance, and sustainable design principles - Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit Architecture, Google SketchUp, and other 3D software - Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to identify integration patterns and points between various design areas Additional Company Details: At Jacobs, they value people and strive to create a balance of belonging, career growth, and lifestyle for their employees.
