Design Manager - Highways

As a Design Manager for Highways, you will be a key member of a high-performing team, utilizing your technical and project management skills to deliver infrastructure projects. You will have the opportunity to lead functional teams or projects, ensuring the resolution of complex issues and providing innovative solutions. Working in a fast-paced environment with multi-discipline engineers and designers, you will support existing projects and contribute to the growth of the business. **Key Responsibilities:** - Understand engineering standards and codes of practice to improve solutions and processes. - Lead functional teams or projects effectively. - Author technical reports of high quality. - Interpret business issues and recommend best practices. - Develop technical competence and review project team's work. **Key Competencies - Soft Skills:** - Minimum 10 years of highway design experience with proficiency in software like Open Roads Designer or Civil3D. - Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, PDS Signs, PDS Lines, Auto Track, MS Word, and MS Excel. - Working knowledge of CDE platforms such as ProjectWise, ACC, or BIM360. **Responsibilities:** - Demonstrate technical competence in detailed highways geometry design using Civil 3D/Open Road Designer. - Lead multi-disciplinary project delivery and act as a design manager. - Ensure completion of projects within time and cost constraints. - Communicate with counterparts and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams. - Estimate project pricing realistically. **Qualifications:** - BE Degree in Civil Engineering or Post-Graduation in Transportation/Highway Engineering. - Chartered Civil Engineer or equivalent, or pursuing a professional qualification. Experience: - 15+ years of experience in Highway engineering design. You will report to the Technical Director/Team Manager for this role.
