Section Incharge (Calcium Chloride)

Qualification- B.E/B.Tech Chemical with experience of 10+ years in medium to large chemical industries. Should have previous experience of working in calcium chloride plant.

Responsibilities:

1. Production Planning & Scheduling

• Plan and execute

  day-to-day production activities

  in alignment with monthly production targets and budgets.
• Oversee

  operations of the assigned section

  of the Calcium Chloride Plant, focusing on process optimization and quality enhancement.
• Prepare and monitor plans for

  process jobs, plant shutdowns, and equipment maintenance

  , ensuring minimal downtime.
• Ensure availability of raw materials, utilities, and manpower to meet production schedules efficiently.
  

2. Process Monitoring & Control

• Monitor and control

  plant performance parameters

  such as pressure, temperature, flow, level, and concentration.
• Provide

  direction and corrective action

  to maintain process stability and consistency.
• Review and analyze

  production, raw material consumption, and equipment performance reports

  ; report findings and recommendations to the Plant Manager.
• Identify opportunities for

  process improvement, waste reduction

  , and

  resource optimization

  .

3. Resource Conservation & Inventory Management

• Promote and implement initiatives for

  energy, water, and material conservation

  across operations.
• Prepare and manage the

  sectional budget

  in alignment with business objectives.
• Ensure execution of monthly procurement plans for

  raw materials, consumables, and spare parts

  to ensure uninterrupted production.

4. Quality / Environment / Health & Safety (QEHS) Management

• Ensure

  strict adherence to product quality standards

  and initiate timely corrective actions for any deviations.
• Review and verify that products meet required

  specifications and quality parameters

  .
• Ensure full compliance with

  safety norms

  , minimizing exposure to hazardous chemicals through proper work practices and use of PPEs.
• Ensure adherence to

  environmental regulations

  , including

  air and water pollution norms

  and other

  statutory requirements

  .
• Lead initiatives related to

  ISO certifications, Responsible Care, and EHS programs

  , ensuring continuous improvement in departmental metrics (Production, Quality, EHS).
• Conduct

  safety audits, risk assessments

  , and promote a proactive safety culture.

5. Manufacturing Support & Continuous Improvement

• Collaborate with

  Process Development, Quality Control, and Quality Assurance

  teams to resolve process issues and enhance operational reliability.
• Support documentation, compliance, and audit requirements.
• Drive

  continuous improvement initiatives

  aimed at improving productivity, yield, and operational efficiency.

6. People Development & 5S Implementation

• Lead the implementation and sustenance of

  5S practices

  across the section.
• Develop and train team members in

  5S principles, safety practices, and process operations

  .
• Build a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning within the production team.
  

Education:

• Should possess strong attention to detail and willingness to roll up sleeves and work through any issues that emerge
• Should possess excellent interpersonal skills, team management skills & leadership skills.
• Should be able to align and engage team through effective communication. Understands and communicates the purpose and contribution of the function to the overall business strategy.
• Should have capability to build & nurture teams.
• Should have knowledge of ISO/Responsible Care standards and procedures.
• Operational knowledge of Computer including SAP.
• Should have exposure of necessary statutory compliance.
• Should have knowledge & exposure of Environment, Health & Safety requirements
