The secondary Market/ Lock Desk Analyst is responsible for managing mortgage rate locks, ensuring timely and accurate pricing, and supporting internal stakeholders with pricing-related inquiries. This role plays a critical part in the loan pricing lifecycle, compliance with investor guidelines and risk management within the secondary mortgage market.

Responsibilities:

Process and manage rate lock requests from loan officers, brokers or branches in a timely and accurate manner.
Monitor pricing and rate sheets based on market movements and investor updates.
Ensure pricing policies and procedures are followed in accordance with investor, agency, and internal guidelines.
Uploading accurate records of lock confirmations, extensions, and re-locks.
Provide reporting and analytics support related to lock activity and pipeline exposure.

Qualifications:

1-2 years of experience in the mortgage industry, preferably within secondary marketing or lock desk operations.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of mortgage pricing, agency guidelines (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac), and rate sheet structures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Excel and Encompass.
