We are currently seeking an SEO Specialist who understands the unique challenges of news publishing and crypto content. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, can make split-second optimization decisions, and want to build a leading crypto media platform from the ground up, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

• Monitor breaking crypto news and ensure articles are optimized and published within 15-30 minute windows to capture Google's Query Deserves Freshness (QDF) algorithm benefits.
• Maintain Core Web Vitals scores (sub-2.5s load times), implement NewsArticle schema markup, manage XML news sitemaps, and ensure Google News technical compliance.
• Pre-optimize 6-10 daily articles for maximum visibility, including headline optimization, meta descriptions, internal linking, and timing publication for peak impact.
• Track competitor coverage gaps, monitor Google News rankings, identify trending topics, and provide insights on content opportunities.
• Work with WordPress to implement SEO plugins, configure caching strategies, optimize site speed, and troubleshoot crawling/indexing issues.
• Track article rankings in Google News, analyze traffic patterns, identify successful content formats, and create weekly performance reports.
• Work with editorial team to balance SEO needs with editorial vision, coordinate with developers on technical improvements, and guide content timing strategies.
• Implement E-E-A-T signals, manage author profiles and schema, coordinate link-building initiatives, and optimize content clustering for topical authority.

You'll be a good fit if

• You have 2+ years of SEO experience, preferably with news websites, publishing platforms, or high-velocity content sites.
• You understand Google News algorithms, Query Deserves Freshness (QDF) signals, and the technical requirements for news publishers.
• You have hands-on experience with WordPress, including SEO plugins (Yoast/Rank Math), schema implementation, and technical troubleshooting.
• You can work under extreme time pressure, making optimization decisions within minutes for breaking news coverage.
• You have strong technical skills including Core Web Vitals optimization, structured data implementation, and sitemap management.
• You understand the balance between SEO optimization and editorial integrity - knowing when to push for changes and when to respect content vision.
• You're data-driven with experience in Google Search Console, Analytics, and SEO tools like Ahrefs or SEMrush.
• You're available to respond to breaking news during market hours and can adapt to the 24/7 nature of crypto markets.
• Experience with crypto/finance content or YMYL (Your Money Your Life) SEO guidelines is a strong plus.
• You have a growth mindset and are excited about building something from zero to millions of monthly visitors.
