Sea Freight- Pricing & Operations (Export)

Role & responsibilities

• Lead the finalization of sea freight for FCL & ISO tanks with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and ISO tank operators from India & Cross Trade.
• Negotiate and finalize transportation rates while ensuring timely placement and movement of containers.
• Manage end-to-end logistics operations across multiple factories and ports to ensure seamless and efficient execution of export and cross-trade orders.
• Coordinate closely with CHA and customs authorities to facilitate smooth clearance processes and resolve any issues related to container movement and documentation.
• Collaborate with marketing teams and suppliers for daily dispatch planning and shipment scheduling.
• Appoint surveyors for cargo inspection, monitor inspection progress, and ensure timely receipt of final certificates.
• Maintain strong expertise in export documentation and customs clearance procedures.
• Develop and implement logistics strategies that enhance supply chain efficiency and minimize operational costs.
• Work cross-functionally with internal departments to ensure alignment of logistics activities with overall business objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, suppliers, and logistics partners to support operational excellence.
• Ensure full compliance with all logistics-related regulations, including those governing hazardous material shipments.
• Track and analyze key logistics performance metrics, identifying gaps and implementing process improvements.
• Continuously evaluate and enhance logistics operations with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and overall efficiency.

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum of 2-3 years experience in Ocean Export Pricing for FCL shipments to global destinations, along with hands-on operational expertise.
• Ability to perform efficiently in a highly competitive environment while consistently adhering to best industry practices and standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build strong relationships with partners, stakeholders, and team members.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with the capability to work independently and handle complex tasks with confidence.
• Thorough knowledge of customs, excise, and export clearance regulations, with experience coordinating with DGFT, banks, customs authorities, export promotion councils, inspection agencies, embassies/consulates, CHAs, shipping lines, ECGC, and handling all export documentation and clearance processes.
