Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Key Responsibilities:

• Automation Framework Development:

  Design and develop automation frameworks using

  Selenium WebDriver with Java

  .

• Test Script Development:

  Create, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for

  functional, regression, and end-to-end testing

  .

• Test Case Management:

  Develop and manage test cases, test data, and test scenarios based on business and technical requirements.

• CI/CD Integration:

  Integrate automated test scripts into continuous integration (CI) pipelines using tools like

  Jenkins, GitHub Actions

  .

• Defect Reporting:

  Identify, log, and track defects to closure using tools like

  JIRA

  or equivalent.

• Cross-Browser Testing:

  Perform

  cross-browser and cross-platform testing

  to ensure application compatibility.

• Code Reviews:

  Conduct peer reviews for test scripts and provide feedback to improve automation quality.

• Collaboration:

  Work closely with

  developers, product managers, and other QA engineers

  to understand business requirements and technical implementations.

• Test Environment Management:

  Set up and manage automation test environments.

• Performance Testing (Optional):

  Perform basic

  performance and load testing

  using

  JMeter

  or similar tools.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Selenium WebDriver:

  Expertise in building and maintaining

  Selenium-based

  test automation frameworks.

• Java:

  Strong proficiency in

  Java

  for developing test scripts.

• TestNG/JUnit:

  Experience with

  TestNG or JUnit

  for test execution and reporting.

• Version Control:

  Hands-on experience with

  Git

  for source code management.

• CI Tools:

  Experience integrating test scripts with

  CI/CD tools

  (e.g.,

  Jenkins, GitHub Actions

  ).

• Bug Tracking Tools:

  Familiarity with tools like

  JIRA, Bugzilla

  , or similar.

• Web Technologies:

  Knowledge of

  HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript

  to understand web application behavior.

• API Testing (Optional):

  Experience with

  REST API testing

  using tools like

  Postman, Rest-Assured

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in

  Agile/Scrum methodologies
