Job Title: Ex-Amazon Developer – SDE Interview Panelist (Freelance/Part-time) Company: BU Consultants Location: Remote Engagement Type: Freelance / Part-time Compensation: Per Interview Basis (Best in Industry) About Us: BU Consultants is a dynamic IT recruitment and consulting firm committed to delivering top-tier tech talent to global clients. We are currently expanding our interview panel and looking for experienced ex-Amazon developers who can assess and evaluate SDE candidates based on Amazon's bar-raising standards. Role Overview: We are seeking experienced ex-Amazon developers to join our freelance technical interview panel. In this role, you will conduct structured technical interviews for SDE candidates, primarily evaluating problem-solving ability, system design knowledge, DSA skills, and technical depth aligned with Amazon’s hiring standards. Key Responsibilities: Conduct live technical interviews (DSA, System Design, Low-Level Design, etc.) for SDE 1 / SDE 2 candidates Evaluate candidates’ coding skills using platforms like HackerRank, CoderPad, or shared code environments Assess technical competencies in Java, Python, Spring Boot, AWS, Microservices, and related technologies (based on role) Provide clear, structured written feedback after each interview Ensure interviews are consistent with Amazon-style bar-raising assessments Collaborate with our internal team for interview planning and candidate experience Requirements: Must be an ex-Amazon SDE (SDE1/SDE2/SDE3 or higher) with proven interviewing experience Strong foundation in Data Structures, Algorithms, System Design, and OOP Hands-on experience with backend technologies such as Java, Python, Spring Boot, and AWS Familiarity with Amazon’s leadership principles and hiring standards Excellent communication and evaluation/reporting skills Comfortable with remote interviewing tools Nice to Have: Experience interviewing candidates for top tech companies (FAANG preferred) Availability to conduct 2–10 interviews per week Mentorship or training experience is a plus Why Join Us?
