Scrum Master - Agile Coach

Primary Responsibilities

• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
• Coach the development team and product owner on Scrum principles and best practices
• Remove impediments and blockers that hinder the team's progress
• Act as a servant leader, fostering an environment of trust, transparency, and continuous improvement
• Monitor and report on team metrics, progress, and burndown charts using Rally
• Work with the Product Owner to ensure the product backlog is well-defined, prioritized, and ready for upcoming sprints
• Help the team manage the sprint backlog and track progress throughout the sprint
• Promote collaboration and communication within the team and with external stakeholders
• Shield the team from external interruptions and distractions
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and facilitate changes that increase team effectiveness
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
  

Required Qualifications

• Full time graduate degree or equivalent experience
• Experience as a Scrum Master in a software development environment
• Experience with Rally or a similar Agile project management tool
• Solid understanding of Agile and Scrum principles
• Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven solid coaching and mentoring abilities
• Proven problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
• Proven ability to work effectively with diverse teams and personalities
  

Preferred Qualification

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification
