Job Description

The Scientific Trainer will be responsible for designing and delivering scientific and product-related training programs for field associates (Medical Representatives, Area Sales Managers, Zonal Sales Managers, etc.). The role ensures the sales force is well-equipped with scientific knowledge, communication skills, and compliance awareness to effectively engage healthcare professionals (HCPs).

Key Responsibilities:Training & Development

  • Conduct scientific and product induction training for new joiners.
  • Organize refresher programs and advanced training for existing associates.
  • Deliver modules on therapy areas, disease awareness, product knowledge, competitor insights, and medical guidelines.
  • Use case studies, role plays, and simulations to improve scientific communication and objection handling.

Capability Building

  • Develop engaging training content, presentations, and e-learning modules.
  • Coach and mentor MRs, ASMs, and ZSMs on scientific engagement and customer-centric communication.
  • Drive continuous learning culture through webinars, workshops, and field coaching.

Assessment & Monitoring

  • Evaluate knowledge retention using tests, role-plays, and field feedback.
  • Measure training effectiveness and provide insights to management on competency gaps.
  • Recommend strategies for performance improvement and skill enhancement.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with Medical, Marketing, Sales, and Compliance teams to ensure training is accurate and updated.
  • Support new product launches through structured training interventions.
  • Ensure all training adheres to ethical standards and industry regulations.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong grasp of scientific/medical concepts with ability to simplify complex information.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Skilled in case study development, role-play facilitation, and experiential learning techniques.
  • Ability to mentor and coach individuals across different seniority levels.
  • Analytical mindset for measuring learning outcomes.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Education: Graduate / Postgraduate in Science, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or related fields.
  • Experience:
  • 3–7 years in pharmaceutical sales, training, or medical affairs.
  • Prior experience in field force training (induction, therapy/product, communication skills) preferred.
  • Knowledge of pharma industry practices, compliance, and ethical promotion standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month
