Job Description

Job Title: School Finance Manager

Location: Devanahalli, Near MS Engineering College, Bangalore
Curriculum: CBSE
Experience: 8+ Years (must have relevant experience in the school/education sector)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee and streamline the financial operations of our CBSE-affiliated school located in Devanahalli. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing school finances, statutory compliance, budgeting, audits, and reporting, and will play a key role in ensuring the institution s financial health.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Accounting
- Prepare and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and periodic MIS reports.
- Manage accounting records, reconciliation of ledgers, and ensure the accuracy of books.
- Oversee fee collections, student billing, concessions, and dues tracking.
- Handle vendor management, procurement payments, and expense controls.
Compliance & Auditing
- Ensure statutory compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI, and other regulatory filings.
- Coordinate internal & external audits; prepare necessary schedules and documentation.
Payroll & HR Coordination
- Liaise with HR for payroll processing, statutory deductions, and related compliances.
Reporting & MIS
- Present timely financial statements and reports to management and the Board.
- Provide analysis of income, expenses, cash flow, and fund management.
Liaison & Administration
- Liaise with banks for transactions, facilities, and statutory bodies for approvals.
- Support school leadership on financial planning, fee structuring, and cost optimization.

Candidate Profile

Minimum 8 years of experience in managing finance/accounts in a school or education institution (mandatory) .
Strong knowledge of school fee structures, CBSE compliance, and statutory norms.
Proficient in Tally, MS Excel, and accounting software.
Excellent understanding of audits, GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other applicable regulations.
Strong communication skills to coordinate with management, auditors, vendors, and parents on financial matters.

Additional Requirements

Must be currently residing in Bangalore .
Should be comfortable with the daily commute or relocation to Devanahalli, near MS Engineering College .
Must be available for in-person interviews at the school location .
