School Accountant

As a Budget and Finance Officer at our school, your role will involve the following responsibilities: - Prepare, monitor, and reconcile budgets in alignment with the school's financial policies. - Oversee the school's bookkeeping, including data entry, monthly reconciliations, and year-end reporting. - Generate financial reports like income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports for review by the administration and school board. - Assist with financial audits and provide necessary documentation. - Ensure compliance with all regulatory financial requirements and school policies. - Engage with vendors and service providers, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost-effectiveness. Qualifications required for this role include: - A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - Minimum 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a school or nonprofit environment. - Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Tally, or similar, and Microsoft Office, especially Excel. - Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for accuracy and attention to detail. - Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially. - Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining financial concepts to non-financial staff. The job is full-time and permanent, with a day shift/morning shift schedule. The preferred education level is a Bachelor's degree, and preferred experience includes 5 years in accounting and Tally. A CA-Inter certification is also preferred. The work location is in person.
