School Accountant

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented School Accountant to join our team at PNC Cognitio school. As a School Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the school, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and providing support to the administrative team in budgeting and financial reporting. Your key responsibilities will include maintaining and updating financial records in compliance with accounting standards and regulations. You will be required to prepare and process financial statements, budgets, and reports as needed by the school administration. Additionally, you will reconcile bank accounts, assist in tax filings and audits, support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities, participate in year-end closing and reporting, and ensure accurate financial recordkeeping using Tally accounting software. To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Previous experience as an accountant, preferably in a school or educational setting, is essential. Proficiency in using Tally accounting software is a must, along with a strong understanding of accounting principles, tax laws, and regulations. Attention to detail, organizational skills, the ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks efficiently, and good communication skills are also required. Preferred qualifications include experience with school-based accounting practices, certification in accounting or finance (e.g., CPA or similar), and familiarity with other accounting software.
