About the Role We are looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to join our Business Intelligence and Analytics team at Inchcape. In this role, you will bridge the gap between business needs and analytics capabilities, developing scalable, impactful analytics solutions that empower teams to make data-informed decisions. This is not a narrow developer role. As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you ll work across the full analytics lifecycle from understanding business problems and data flows to developing robust data models and building analytical dashboards. You will also contribute to analytics product delivery , work closely with product and technical teams, and champion best practices in analytics engineering. Your Impact Translate business questions into reliable, scalable, and repeatable BI & analytics solutions Lead the design, development, and maintenance of dashboards and data pipelines Ensure analytics solutions follow best practices in performance, usability, governance, and data quality Work closely with product managers, developers, engineers, and business stakeholders Help evolve our data stack and shape our culture of data-driven product development What You ll Do Own the end-to-end development of analytics solutions: from requirements gathering to deployment Design, build, and optimize dashboards and visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools Develop and manage ETL/ELT workflows using tools like Alteryx , and contribute to scalable data pipelines Write and optimize advanced SQL queries for data transformation and analytics Lead the data modeling and design of reporting datasets within the data warehouse (star/snowflake schemas, fact/dim tables, surrogate keys) Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs, align on business logic, and ensure semantic consistency Support the coordination of deliveries , help remove blockers, and improve sprint execution across teams Promote best practices in data quality, performance, and documentation across analytics assets Your Background 7+ years of experience in BI, Data Analytics, or Analytics Engineering roles Strong proficiency in SQL , including advanced functions, optimization, and data transformation logic Demonstrated experience in data modeling for data warehouses and applying warehousing techniques (e.g., SCD, schema design, indexing, surrogate keys) Hands-on expertise with Tableau (preferred), Power BI , or other visualization tools Practical experience with ETL/ELT tools like Alteryx , Talend, or similar (Alteryx preferred) Experience working with cloud data platforms such as AWS Redshift or Snowflake Familiarity with Python or R for automation or analytics scripting is a plus Exposure to Agile/Scrum environments with experience in sprint-based delivery Excellent communication skills and comfort collaborating across functions A mindset focused on continuous improvement, stakeholder partnership, and solution impact Why You Might Be a Fit You re a problem-solver who enjoys transforming data into business value.
