Job Description

Job Purpose

To ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of SAP systems through automated testing. Automate test cases, integrate with CI/CD pipelines, collaborate with functional/technical teams, drive improvements in test processes, and help reduce manual effort while increasing test coverage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse business requirements, functional specifications, and design documents to derive test scenarios, use cases, and test data for SAP modules.
  • Develop, implement, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for SAP modules (e.g. FI, CO, MM, SD, PP, etc.).
  • Perform different types of testing: functional, integration, regression, performance, user acceptance (UAT), and end-to-end process testing.
  • Identify test cases appropriate for automation. Build and maintain a test automation framework.
  • Maintain and update test automation scripts to adapt to application changes (upgrades, patches, customizations).
  • Work with SAP functional and technical consultants to ensure proper setup of test environments, required data, and configurations.
  • Track, log, and manage defects; retest fixes; verify defect resolution.
  • Generate test reports, coverage metrics; monitor test execution and quality metrics.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI).
  • Assist in defining entry/exit criteria, test plans, test strategy, and risk assessments.
  • Mentor junior testers/test automation engineers; perform code reviews of test scripts.
  • Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and standards; strive for increased automation, reliability, reduced rework.
