Job Summary:

SAP Project Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Management:

  Lead SAP projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery, within scope and budget. Oversee project planning, execution, and closure.

• Team Leadership:

  Manage and motivate cross-functional teams of consultants, developers, and business analysts to ensure successful project delivery.

• Stakeholder Management:

  Act as the main point of contact for key business stakeholders, ensuring alignment on objectives, requirements, and project scope.

• Project Scope & Planning:

  Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and milestones. Develop detailed project plans and timelines, and track project progress against these plans.

• Resource Management:

  Allocate resources appropriately, ensuring the team is appropriately staffed, and identify and mitigate any potential resource shortages.

• Risk & Issue Management:

  Identify potential risks and issues, create mitigation plans, and resolve project-related challenges proactively.

• Budget & Cost Control:

  Monitor project budgets and costs, ensuring the project is delivered within the approved budget.

• Change Management:

  Support change management processes and help ensure smooth adoption of SAP solutions across the organization.

• Client Interaction:

  Maintain strong relationships with clients and ensure all SAP project deliverables meet client expectations.

• Quality Assurance:

  Ensure all SAP deliverables meet quality standards and align with business and technical requirements.

• Reporting:

  Prepare regular project status reports for senior management and stakeholders, providing transparency on project progress, issues, and risks.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• SAP Expertise:

  Solid understanding of SAP modules (e.g., SAP MM, SAP SD, SAP FICO, SAP HCM, SAP PP, SAP WM, etc.) with hands-on experience in at least one or more modules.

• Project Management Experience:

  5 to 8 years of experience managing SAP projects, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.

• Certifications:

  PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.

• Leadership Skills:

  Ability to manage and lead a diverse team, including technical consultants, business analysts, and external vendors.

• Communication Skills:

  Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.

• Problem Solving:

  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, results-oriented approach to managing challenges.

• Process Knowledge:

  Deep understanding of business processes in areas such as Finance, Supply Chain, HR, etc., and how SAP solutions map to these processes.

• Project Methodology:

  Experience with SAP Activate, Agile, or Waterfall methodologies.

• Travel:

  Willingness to travel as required for project delivery.

Preferred Skills:

• SAP S/4 HANA Experience:

  Experience in managing SAP S/4 HANA implementation projects is an advantage.

• Client-facing Experience:

  Experience managing client relationships in a consulting or service-based environment.

• Global Project Experience:

  Experience working on global SAP projects, managing different time zones, and dealing with multicultural teams.
