Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled freelance SAP MDG Architect to lead and support the design, customization, and deployment of SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical and functional background in SAP MDG, with hands-on experience in end-to-end implementation and integration with S/4HANA and other SAP/non-SAP systems. This is a remote/contract-based position ideal for seasoned professionals who can work independently while delivering business-critical solutions. Key Responsibilities: Lead SAP MDG solution architecture and design based on client business needs. Customize and configure MDG for key domains such as Customer, Supplier, Material, and Business Partner . Develop and extend data models , BRF+ business rules , workflow , FPM , UI configurations , and MDG APIs . Implement integrations using SOA services , IDocs , ODATA , REST/SOAP APIs , and SAP AIF . Ensure seamless data replication across SAP ECC/S/4HANA landscapes using the MDG Data Replication Framework. Collaborate with functional and technical teams to align MDG with business processes and compliance needs. Deliver data governance solutions, data validation rules, and enhancements using AMDP , CDS , BOPF , and WebDynpro/Fiori . Provide expert-level troubleshooting and support throughout the MDG lifecycle. Prepare detailed technical documentation and deliver knowledge transfer sessions. Required Skills & Qualifications: 10+ years of SAP experience, with 5+ years in SAP MDG architecture and implementation. Strong expertise in SAP MDG Central Governance, Consolidation, and Mass Processing . Deep understanding of SAP master data domains and data modeling techniques. Familiarity with SAP data dictionary tables and data structures in both ECC and S/4HANA . Hands-on experience with REST APIs, SOAP, ODATA , and SAP AIF . Knowledge of Fiori Apps , WebDynpro , Floorplan Manager (FPM) . Experience in custom code development using ABAP, BADI, BAPI, RFC/FM . Strong consulting and stakeholder communication skills. Ability to work independently in a freelance/remote setting. Preferred Certifications: SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP Master Data Governance (Optional but valued) SAP Certified Development Associate – ABAP with SAP NetWeaver / S/4HANA Additional certifications in S/4HANA , SAP Integration Suite , or Data Management are a plus.
