SAP BTP Architect

Role Summary:

Design, develop, and deploy the Next Gen Ariba solution leveraging SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), working closely with the existing SAP development team to ensure robust, scalable, and secure architecture.

Senior-level role requiring advanced technical expertise and architectural leadership.

Minimum 8+ years of experience in cloud administration and SAP BTP, with strong hands-on experience in Java/Spring Boot, microservices, and container orchestration.

Proven track record in SAP BTP-based solution design and deployment. Familiarity with SAP Ariba integration patterns and Next Gen architecture principles

• Cloud-Native Architecture: Design and architect end-to-end solutions on SAP BTP (Cloud Foundry/Kyma Runtime) ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.

• SAP CAP Model: Expertise in Java/Spring Boot, including CDS data models, services, and handlers.

• Cloud-Native Development: Proficiency in Java (Spring Boot), Docker, and Kubernetes.

• Strong understanding of microservices, event-driven architecture, and serverless computing on SAP BTP.

• Experience building observability solutions using industry standards (Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, SAP Cloud Logging).

• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles (e.g., Terraform for BTP resource provisioning).

• Strong collaboration skills with DevOps, Product Owners, and SAP development teams.

Relevant Experience

• Align with SAP Development Team to design components relevant to the Next Gen Ariba Solution.

• Participate in architecture round tables and contribute to key design decisions.

• Develop code aligned with SAP non-functional standards (performance, security, scalability).

• Collaborate with DevOps teams to troubleshoot pipeline build failures and deployment issues.

• Implement IaC principles for provisioning BTP resources.

• Refine technical requirements with Product Owners and translate them into actionable backlog items.

• Ensure observability and monitoring are embedded in all services.
