Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company targets in the solar energy market.
Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and projects in residential, commercial, and industrial solar segments.
Manage the end-to-end sales cyclefrom lead generation, proposal development, and technical consultation to deal closure.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, contractors, consultants, and industry stakeholders.
Coordinate with the engineering and project teams to ensure smooth execution of client requirements.
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, pricing, and customer needs.
Prepare regular sales forecasts, reports, and performance analysis for management review.
Train and mentor sales executives or junior staff in the solar sales process.
Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and client meetings.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).
10+ years of experience in B2B or B2C sales, with at least 23 years in the solar or renewable energy sector will be an add-on.
Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and lead a team effectively.
Willingness to travel as required.
Language known: For Tamil Nadu: English & Tamil. For Kerala: English & Malayalam
