Job Title: Business Development Lead / Area Business Head

About the Role

This role focuses on driving business growth through property acquisitions, strong partnerships, team leadership, and strategic decision-making. Youll lead a team, build market presence, and ensure revenue and margin goals are met.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Execution

  • Create and execute business development plans that support growth targets.
  • Track market trends, competition, and new opportunities to stay ahead.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor a team of Business Development Managers.
  • Guide the team on lead generation, negotiations, closures, and overall performance.

Partnerships and Relationship Building

  • Build strong relationships with property owners, real estate brokers, and other partners.
  • Develop long-term, profitable associations with owners.

Revenue and Profitability

  • Drive monthly acquisition of sellable rooms and ensure properties go live on time.
  • Achieve gross margin goals for all properties signed.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with Operations, Transformation, Legal, and Central teams for smooth onboarding.
  • Review SLAs regularly and resolve any operational concerns with property owners.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Sellable rooms signed and activated each month
  • Gross margin generated
  • Team achievements and overall business performance

Required Experience

  • 5+ years in business development, sales, or a similar role
  • Experience leading teams, preferably in hospitality or real estate
  • Strong background in planning, negotiation, and data-driven decision-making

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Proven abllity to close high-value deals
  • Clear strategic thinking with strong analytical skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment
  • Good with ERP/Apps, Excel, and professional email communication
