Job Description

Role : Sales manager - for a Plastics industry Experience : 5 to 8yrs Work location : mumbai Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Manager to lead the sales and business development of plastics raw materials including polymers, resins, master batches, and additives. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical understanding of plastic materials and a proven track record in B2B industrial sales. Key Responsibilities: Business Development & Sales • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across plastic processing industries (e.g., injection molding, blow molding, extrusion, packaging, etc.). • Develop and maintain relationships with OEMs, converters, processors, and distributors. • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. Technical Consultation • Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate raw materials (PP, PE, PVC, ABS,Nylon, PET, etc.). • Coordinate with technical teams to support customer trials, application development, and product customization. Client Relationship Management • Build long-term relationships with key accounts and ensure customer satisfaction. • Conduct regular site visits, presentations, and technical discussions. Market Analysis & Strategy • Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and customer preferences to inform pricing and positioning strategies. • Provide inputs for product portfolio planning based on customer and market feedback. Internal Coordination • Collaborate with supply chain, logistics, technical, and finance teams to ensure smooth order execution and delivery. • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, CRM data, and reporting documentation. Qualifications & Skills: • B.E./B.Tech in Plastics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or equivalent. • MBA in Marketing/Sales is a plus. • 5 to 10 years of experience in raw material sales in the plastics industry. • Deep knowledge of commodity and engineering polymers (e.g., PE, PP, ABS, PC, Nylon), additives, and fillers. • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. • Ability to manage a sales territory independently and travel as needed.
