Job Overview

The Sales Manager – Life Insurance will be responsible for driving sales and expanding market share for life insurance products by recruiting and managing a network of POS advisors, as well as generating direct sales. The role requires a combination of strong sales expertise, product knowledge, and relationship management skills to ensure customer satisfaction and business retention.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Sales

  • Promote and sell life insurance products such as Term Plans, Endowment Plans, ULIPs, Child Plans, Retirement Plans, and Pension Plans.
  • Conduct client meetings, sales presentations, and financial need analysis for customers.
  • Develop strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual business targets.

2. POS Advisor Recruitment & Management

  • Identify, recruit, and train POS advisors to build a sustainable sales force.
  • Monitor performance and motivate advisors to consistently achieve sales goals.
  • Provide continuous product and soft-skill training to enhance productivity.

3. Customer Relationship Management

  • Build strong, long-term relationships with customers to generate repeat business and referrals.
  • Ensure timely servicing of policies, renewals, and claim support.
  • Handle customer queries and provide prompt resolutions.

4. Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with IRDAI regulations and company guidelines.
  • Prepare business MIS, sales reports, and market intelligence updates for management.
  • Maintain ethical sales practices and ensure complete transparency with clients.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and persuasion skills.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team of advisors.
  • Strong financial understanding and consultative selling approach.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate in any discipline; MBA in Sales/Marketing preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in Life Insurance or BFSI sector.
  • Prior experience in selling life insurance policies and managing advisor networks.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed business targets.
