Job Title: Sales Strategist / Sales Manager for a Startup FMCG (Packaged Drinking Water) Job Overview: We are a fast-scaling startup in the packaged drinking water segment, looking for a Sales Strategist / Sales Manager who can take immediate ownership of regional sales and drive rapid market penetration. This role is ideal for someone with 5+ years of solid FMCG sales experience and a strong bias toward execution, who can quickly assess team capabilities, make decisions , and deliver results from Day 1 . Key Responsibilities: Quick Market and Team Assessment Evaluate the current sales team, channel setup, and processes within the first few weeks. Identify gaps in performance, skills, and structure; recommend quick-win solutions. Build or reorganize the team and channel partners for maximum impact. Sales Strategy & Execution Develop and implement tactical sales plans to achieve immediate and quarterly revenue goals. Set KPIs, tracking mechanisms, and sales cadences to drive daily accountability. Analyze territory performance and dynamically reallocate resources to high-impact areas. Distribution & Channel Development Expand coverage across GT, HoReCa, Corporates, Modern Trade, and Institutions. Onboard and manage distributors/franchisees; ensure product availability and visibility. Activate key retail and high-volume outlets with urgency. Customer Management Build strong relationships with early customers and key accounts. Act as a first responder to client issues and market feedback. Sales Operations & Forecasting Manage routing, inventory planning, sales reporting, and cross-functional coordination. Work closely with production and logistics to match demand with supply efficiently. Marketing & Field Activation Support marketing teams in executing trade promotions, local activations, and brand visibility efforts. What We're Looking For: Experience: 58 years in FMCG or beverage sales; team-leading or territory ownership experience preferred. Sales DNA: Strong track record of achieving sales targets, launching territories, or scaling regions. Decision-Maker: Can quickly assess situations and take independent, high-impact decisions. People Leader: Capable of motivating a team, even if its lean; experience in building or fixing underperforming teams is a plus. Startup Fit: Agile, accountable, action-oriented. Able to work without corporate structure and still deliver results. Tools: Excel/Google Sheets, CRM tools, and reporting dashboards proficiency.
