Job Description

SaaS Sales Intern

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation & Research:

    • Conduct research to identify target companies, decision-makers, and potential customers in the SaaS industry.
    • Assist in building and maintaining a pipeline of qualified leads.
    • Use CRM tools to organize and track prospects and customer interactions.
  • Client Engagement:

    • Support the sales team in reaching out to prospective SaaS clients via phone, email, and social media.
    • Participate in client meetings or calls to understand customer pain points and needs.
    • Assist in delivering

      customized product demos

      to prospective customers, highlighting key features and benefits based on their specific requirements.
  • SaaS Sales Process Support:

    • Work closely with the sales team to assist in qualifying leads and nurturing prospects through the sales cycle.
    • Shadow experienced sales representatives to learn SaaS-specific negotiation and deal-closing techniques.
    • Help prepare customized proposals, pricing quotes, and contracts for SaaS solutions.
  • Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align SaaS sales efforts with ongoing campaigns and product updates.
    • Provide feedback to internal teams about customer needs and product enhancement opportunities.
  • Performance Tracking:

    • Monitor and update sales reports, dashboards, and key performance metrics.
    • Assist in analyzing SaaS sales data to identify trends and opportunities.

Requirements

  • Education:

    • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Skills & Abilities:

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace.
    • Familiarity with CRM tools like Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar is a plus.
    • Basic understanding of SaaS products and sales cycles.
    • Confidence in presenting and explaining product features during customer demos.
  • Personal Attributes:

    • Highly organized with great attention to detail.
    • Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
    • Comfortable with cold outreach and building relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in sales for a SaaS company or knowledge of the SaaS industry.
  • Familiarity with SaaS-specific concepts like subscription models, churn rates, and customer lifetime value (CLV).
  • Knowledge of digital tools for sales, such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator or email outreach platforms.
  • Experience or interest in conducting live product demos for customers.
