SaaS Sales Intern
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Research:
- Conduct research to identify target companies, decision-makers, and potential customers in the SaaS industry.
- Assist in building and maintaining a pipeline of qualified leads.
- Use CRM tools to organize and track prospects and customer interactions.
Client Engagement:
- Support the sales team in reaching out to prospective SaaS clients via phone, email, and social media.
- Participate in client meetings or calls to understand customer pain points and needs.
- Assist in delivering
customized product demos
to prospective customers, highlighting key features and benefits based on their specific requirements.
SaaS Sales Process Support:
- Work closely with the sales team to assist in qualifying leads and nurturing prospects through the sales cycle.
- Shadow experienced sales representatives to learn SaaS-specific negotiation and deal-closing techniques.
- Help prepare customized proposals, pricing quotes, and contracts for SaaS solutions.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align SaaS sales efforts with ongoing campaigns and product updates.
- Provide feedback to internal teams about customer needs and product enhancement opportunities.
Performance Tracking:
- Monitor and update sales reports, dashboards, and key performance metrics.
- Assist in analyzing SaaS sales data to identify trends and opportunities.
Requirements
Education:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace.
- Familiarity with CRM tools like Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar is a plus.
- Basic understanding of SaaS products and sales cycles.
- Confidence in presenting and explaining product features during customer demos.
Personal Attributes:
- Highly organized with great attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable with cold outreach and building relationships.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in sales for a SaaS company or knowledge of the SaaS industry.
- Familiarity with SaaS-specific concepts like subscription models, churn rates, and customer lifetime value (CLV).
- Knowledge of digital tools for sales, such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator or email outreach platforms.
- Experience or interest in conducting live product demos for customers.
