Reports To: Regional Sales Manager/General Manager - Sales

Job Summary

The Area Sales Manager is responsible for achieving sales targets, driving business growth, and managing all sales activities within an assigned geographic territory. This includes leading the sales team (if applicable), managing channel partners (dealers/distributors/panel builders), and fostering strong relationships with key customers (industrial, commercial, infrastructure clients, and consultants) for our range of LV and MV electrical panels, switchgear, and control solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Strategy and Target Achievement:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive annual sales plan and strategy for the assigned area to achieve and exceed sales, revenue, and margin targets for electrical panels and related products.
  • Conduct regular market analysis to identify new business opportunities, market trends, and competitor activities.
  • Focus on both securing high-value project sales and growing transactional business.

2. Channel Management and Development:

  • Manage, train, and motivate the existing network of channel partners (Dealers, Distributors, Panel Builders) to ensure they meet their assigned targets and adhere to company policies.
  • Identify, onboard, and develop new channel partners in untapped or high-potential sub-territories.
  • Ensure product availability and optimal inventory management within the channel.

3. Key Account and Project Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key customers, EPC contractors, electrical consultants, and end-users (e.g., in manufacturing, power, real estate, etc.).
  • Actively track and manage the sales cycle for large-scale projects, from initial specification/enquiry through to contract closure and execution coordination.
  • Promote Sine Electricals' full product portfolio, focusing on technical advantages and value proposition.

4. Team Leadership (If applicable):

  • Lead, mentor, and guide a team of Sales Executives or Representatives to maximize their performance.
  • Set individual performance objectives, monitor results, and conduct regular performance reviews.

5. Reporting and Administration:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales forecasts, pipelines, and opportunity statuses using the company's CRM system.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on sales performance, territory status, and market feedback to the senior management.
  • Ensure timely collection of payments from customers/channel partners.

6. Technical Expertise:

  • Possess a strong working knowledge of electrical power distribution equipment, including LV/MV switchboards, control panels, APFC panels, PCCs, MCCs, etc.
  • Be able to deliver technical presentations and confidently discuss product specifications and customized solutions with technical decision-makers.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education:

    Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
  • Experience:

    [X] years of progressive sales experience, with a minimum of [Y] years in an Area Sales Manager or similar leadership role within the

    electrical industry, preferably with a focus on electrical panels, switchgear, or related power distribution equipment.

    Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales quotas consistently.

  • Communication:

    Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Technical Aptitude:

    Strong understanding of technical products and the ability to grasp complex engineering concepts.
  • Business Acumen:

    Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Software Proficiency:

    Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with a CRM system (e.g., Salesforce, etc.).
  • Travel:

    Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned area.
