Sales Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Sales Engineer with technical expertise to handle our pharma and cleanroom instruments. You will engage with clients, understand their instrument requirements, and drive sales from lead generation to order execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gain technical understanding of instruments: need, use, applications, operations, and software.
• Conduct technical discussions with customers.
• Prepare clean, complete, and timely reports.
• Actively promote products in the field.
• Attend sales meetings and utilize your day efficiently.
• Track competitor products and maintain a strong technical knowledge.
• Collaborate across all levels of personnel and departments.
• Close orders for regular items independently; assist manager on project-based sales.
• Maintain rolling 3-month sales projections and track performance.
• Target and convert competitor accounts.
• Ensure prompt email communication and timely submission of offers.

Qualifications:

• B.E./B.Tech in Electronics & Communication (ECE), Instrumentation (EIE), Electrical (EEE)
• B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Microbiology (depending on product specialization)

Experience Required:

2–5 years in pharma instrumentation, cleanroom instruments, or technical sales

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong logical reasoning and ability to convince customers
• Excellent communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable with frequent travel and field work

Working Conditions:

• Travel across geography by bus, train, or bike (within 100 km)
• Travel with calibration kits as required
• Flexibility to work late nights or holidays based on critical project requirements
